Irrigated

• Do repeated ploughing so that the soil is free of clods and to bring the soil to fine tilth.
• Levelling should be done for uniform distribution of irrigation waterand form beds and channels
• Wherever soil crusting is a problem, apply lime @ 2 t/ ha as basal.
• Well drained soil condition is preferred.
